You are essentially taking over a solar subscription at a rate that was locked in when the existing homeowner signed up. Imagine if you had locked in the price of power that many years ago, for the next years. Plus, you will now be powering your home with cheaper, cleaner, smarter energy. Our solar subscription guarantees savings from year one and you are guaranteed to save on your power bills annually.
We don't see this happen very often. If it does happen we would work with the existing homeowner to remove the panels.
Our team will tell you how many years are left on the solar subscription contract - it will be the years left on the contract from when the homeowner signed up.
The best thing to do is to sign up for a new solar subscription at your new house.
The process currently takes between 1-3 months. This includes taking the new homeowner through the solar subscription in detail.
You can pay out the remaining solar subscription and gift this to the new homeowner. It is up to you how to recover the value of the solar subscription.
