How is the price protection cap calculated?

We will provide a price protection cap of 8c/kWh on the net price of energy you pay each month (plus applicable lines or network charges and GST). This price protection will apply for the remaining term of the agreement.

For example:

  • Imported energy 500 kWh @ 11c/kWh
  • Exported energy 50 KWh @ 13c/kWH
  • Net energy used = 450kWh
  • Net energy cost = $48.50
  • Cost of net energy at 8c/kWh = $36
  • solarZero Price Protection Credit = $12.50
